Here at Smithpoint Retrievers we love our dogs! Breeding & raising AKC Retrievers is our passion in life, we are dedicated to raising beautiful & loving dogs in a friendly, home environment. Our goal is simple, we strive to produce healthy, good tempered Labrador Retrievers that meet the AKC standard and that make great family pets, loyal companions, show prospects, and quality hunting dogs. Our sole purpose is for the betterment of the Labrador Retriever breeds through the careful selection of dogs that are going to be bred, by evaluating temperament and soundness, and of course loving these wonderful creatures God has blessed us with! Labrador Retrievers & Golden Retrievers are two of Americas top purebred dogs according to the AKC. Their wonderful temperaments, good looks, and eagerness to please are just some of the reasons why people love them.
Most of our time is spent enjoying our Retrievers as wonderful home companions. When we decide to breed one of our girls, we do so with selfish intentions, in hopes of getting a pup for ourselves that represents our ideal retriever. It is not uncommon that we may keep a puppy or two out of the litter for ourselves in order to continue on with my bloodlines. I keep what I feel will be an asset to my breeding program, and the remainder of the puppies are placed into loving homes with a Limited AKC registration. We reserve the right to first pick of the litter. Smithpoint Retrievers is dedicated to produce the highest quality retriever puppies. Each one of our litters are carefully planned out and selected for the right look and conformation, as well as wonderful bloodlines. Our breeding program creates well-rounded, calm, and family-orientated dogs.
