From Our Pawsome Home To Yours!

It's that time of year again for Holiday Cheer!!  Or as I like to say Howliday Cheer!! We hope you enjoy our temporary seasonal page where you will find a few recipes, puppy and dog pictures current and past, and other Holiday treats to share!!  I will also add some new pictures from this year on here, but for now enjoy some pictures from years past!  From our family (two legged & four legged) to yours:

Holiday Treats For Our Furry Family Members:

Deluxe Christmas Mint Doggie Cookies hand-dipped in Carob Receipe
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Baking Mix (Bisquick or Jiffy)
  • 5 drops Mint Flavoring
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 2 Tbsp Margarine
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Corn Syrup
  • Carob

Directions:
  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.  
  • Roll dough out onto a floured surface to approximately 1/4 inch thick.
  • Cut into shapes using a bone cookie cutter or other holiday or dog shapes using cookie cutters.
  • Spray cookie sheet with Pam (or other cooking spray) and place cookie shapes on pam, make sure they don't touch.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes until lightly browned.
  • Remove cookies from oven and cool.
  • Melt Carob.
  • Dip the cookies halfway into melted carob, or spoon the carob icing over half of each cooke.
  • Make sure the cookies are cooled down before storing, or giving to your pup!

***Please Note:
         DO NOT substitute chocolate chips, for carob.  Chocolate is toxic to dogs!  Only use carob, carob is a safe alternative for your barking chocoholic!  Carob can be easily found in your stores baking department, just ask!!
